"The hotel's front desk only had one staff member, so it could get quite busy at times. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that one of the staff, who didn't look Chinese, spoke fluent Mandarin. Our room was upgraded, and it included a sofa bed for the child. But the staff forgot to make up the bed. When I went back to the front desk, I was told the housekeeping staff had already left for the day, but she would go check what she could do for us. Eventually, the bed was made. I also borrowed a power adapter from her. It was great to have a free laundry room. Although it was just one washer and one dryer, it was enough to take care of two days' worth of laundry for our family of four. The location is also very close to Ringwood Station."

"Half a star goes to the non-Indian male staff member at checkout, who kindly helped us with our luggage to the car. This is my first negative review on Ctrip, directed at the Indian male staff member who checked us in and the Indian female manager, whose attitudes were extremely poor. Especially the manager, when I showed her my Ctrip order (with very large room pictures), she arrogantly said she couldn't understand Chinese, as if understanding Chinese was something to be ashamed of. I told her she only needed to look at the pictures, and she reluctantly accepted. Moreover, I observed that she had a very bad attitude towards an intern nearby, who might have been Chinese. How can such a person be a manager? And why is she still here when multiple previous Ctrip negative reviews have mentioned her? Additionally, we booked two rooms for three adults and two children – one king room and one twin room. This manager told me that according to hotel policy, I had to pay an extra A$60 for one child and an A$30 passive room change fee. This meant an additional A$90 per night. I told the manager my children were small and could easily fit, so there was no need to adjust. The manager coldly stated that we had to pay the extra money. Our group, including elderly people and children, was extremely tired after a 10+ hour flight, and the order was non-refundable, so we had no choice but to accept. The hotel's location is also quite remote! The lobby is very small, and there were no directions or staff to assist with luggage during check-in; bags were scattered haphazardly in the cramped space. After checking in, no one informed us about breakfast times or location, nor did anyone direct us to the elevators. At breakfast, we even saw flies on the bread! If you're coming to Melbourne, I advise against booking this hotel; the value for money is extremely low!"
